El proyecto ABRAZO es un mural encargado para el local de la Asociación de Mujeres Senegalesas Firekutzen en Bilbao. Se trata de un espacio de encuentro que fomenta el feminismo interseccional. 

Para este proyecto tenía claro que debía reflejar la ternura del encuentro y, por ello, se eligió el gesto del abrazo; la flor de baobab en distintas etapas de floración, representa el origen de las integrantes de la asociación y un símil del recorrido de la misma. Esta intervención mide 1,5 x 3 m y se realizó con pintura plástica y esmalte sintético.

The project ABRAZO is a commissioned mural created for the premises of the Senegalese Women’s Association Firekutzen in Bilbao, a meeting space that promotes intersectional feminism.

For this project, I was certain that it needed to convey the tenderness of encounter; the gesture of an embrace was therefore chosen. The baobab flower shown in different stages of bloom, represents both the origins of the association’s members and a metaphor of its journey. The mural measures 1.5 x 3 m (approximately 5 × 9.8 ft) and was executed using latex paint and synthetic enamel.
